Day 5 – Speak It

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” 2 Corinthians 4:13

To become a Christian, one must believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Speaking seals what we say that we believe. Contrary to the superstitious thought that speaking things “jinks” it or keeps it from happening. In the realm of faith, speaking seals what we really believe.

I often say that “if you don’t believe it enough to speak it then you really don’t believe it.” The Bible says: “we…believe, and therefore speak.” It is not enough just think about what you want or even write it. You must get your mouth involved. You must say it until you see it and say it until you see it and say it until you see it!

In his early boxing career, the late, great Muhammad Ali would verbally predict the round in which he would knock out his opponent. It has been reported that he
accurately predicted 12 out of 15 of those matches — 12 out 15 is 80%. Imagine that as you exercise your faith you receive 80% results of all that you put your faith to believe and speak. Not too shabby!

However, I stand in agreement with you that after applying the principles outlined in this devotional and completing your faith stretching exercises, you will have 100% faith accuracy and manifested results.

Faith Stretches Exercises:
1. Take your wishful thoughts and start making them statements of faith – say it.
2. Share with someone at least three things that you are believing God to do this
year.
3. Every time a negative or doubtful thought comes, open up your mouth and
verbally state the opposite and speak your faith confession.
