Day 29 – Refuse to Worry

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT

Worry is negative meditation and a waste of imagination. Worry also causes dread and robs you of your peace. Anything that robs you of your peace is demonic in its origin. So, you must take authority over worry and make the decision to refuse to worry.

Satan has a way of magnifying every circumstance to make it appear larger and worse than it actually is. I have discovered that nothing is ever as bad as the enemy tries to make me think that it will be. Call the devil’s bluff and refuse to worry.

The scripture above gives use to the anti-worry formula. Instead of worrying, make the decision to pray and thank. Prayer and thanksgiving will keep worry away. If you are going to pray then why worry and if you are going to worry then why pray. Prayer is how believers cast all of our burdens and cares over on Jesus so he can carry them for us (I Peter 5:7).

Having assurance that God loves us, cares for us, and will take of us will cause you to have a worry-free life, care-free life, and a peaceful life. So when thoughts of worry, anxiety, and fear come into your mind, counter those negative thoughts by opening of your mouth and saying: “I refuse to worry about this because I’ve already prayed about this. God loves me and cares for me, so He is handling this situation and it will work out for my good.”

I started out saying that worry is negative meditation. So, peace comes from positive meditation about how much God loves you and will take care of you. Refuse to worry because God’s got you. Your worry days are over today!
