Day 6 – I Can Do It

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Phil. 4:13 NLT

Operating in faith is not merely believing in what God can do, it is also believing what God can do through you. Though we may pray and ask God to perform miracles, make ways, and open doors, we must recognize that God performs miracles through human vessels. You must have confidence in your God-given talent and ability. God wants to you use to work miracles and demonstrate His power. So you must say as Paul said “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” It is not taking anything from God to recognize that you are anointed, graced and empowered by the Holy Spirit to accomplish great things in the earth.

One of the first things that God had to do when He called many of the patriarchs in the Bible was to get them to believe and say: “I can do it!” He had to convince Abraham that he could do what was necessary to have a child with his wife Sarah. He had to convince Moses that he could lead the children of Israel through the wilderness to the promised land. He had to convince Gideon that he was able to lead a small army of men to defeat the Midianites. He had to convince Jeremiah that he could prophesy to the nations though the was a child.

Whatever God is leading you to do or has called you to do, you can do it. Go ahead say it aloud right now: “I CAN DO IT.” It is never a question of God’s power, might, or ability. The question is, do we believe that He can use us to do it.

As you go forward in this year, stay open to what God wants you to do and what He wants to do through you. If He orders your steps and directs your path, you have everything you need to do it because where He leads, He feeds; where He guides, He provides; and where He directs, He protects. Say it again: “I CAN DO IT!”

Faith Stretches Exercises:
1. List the gifts and talents that God has given you.
2. What is he leading you to do with them?
3. List steps that you can make in fulfillment of what God has told you to do.
